Halifax, the UK's largest mortgage provider, has appointed LMS as panel manager of its online and telephone conveyancing service.

The conveyancing service has been offered by Halifax since 2003. Customers will continue to receive the same great service and carry on enjoying product features such as 'no move, no legal fee', a guaranteed fixed price quotation and an online tracking service. The LMS and Halifax online and telephone conveyancing contract is for three years and follows a recent tender process.

Nina Morton-Brook, Head of Legal Products at Halifax, said:
"The Halifax online and telephone conveyancing service forms part of our overall home moving proposition. We're delighted to be appointing LMS to help us provide this important service."

Andy Knee, Managing Director of LMS, said:
"We are very proud to have been entrusted by Halifax with one of the markets biggest conveyancing contracts. "Our appointment follows a comprehensive tender process by Halifax. "It speaks volumes about the quality and efficiency of our company, our systems and our staff, and it confirms LMS's position as the leading independent provider of key services to the financial and property sectors. "The Halifax decision is expected to be the first of many important wins for LMS that will consolidate our leadership in property services."
