Cutting edge technology key to delivering fast, efficient EPCs
Energy Reports and Surveys Ltd (ERS) has been launched today. Established by LMS, one of the largest HIP providers in the country, ERS uses the very latest technology to provide the most efficient and cost effective EPCs across the market.

ERS has grown out of an established survey and valuation business and has been processing volume business for over 10 years and has built a reputation for quality and service.

ERS has been set up in response to an increasing demand for a specialist EPC provider that has the capacity to deliver a large volume of cases combined with the highest quality of service.

ERS is the UK's largest direct employer of trained Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs), with over 150 in full time employment. The advanced technology developed by ERS means that all Assessors are linked up by hand held computer to the company's central office. This office centrally manages every stage of the certification, from the booking of a DEA's appointments to
the quality control of the submissions. This innovative use of technology leads to a more efficient, paperless process and cost savings that are passed on immediately to the customer. The capacity of the ERS workforce means that large numbers of EPCs can be processed simultaneously, quickly and efficiently.

Paul Staley, managing director of ERS, explains how the system works:

"By controlling our Assessors diaries, we are able to schedule EPCs in the most time efficient way for our customers. The DEA will travel to the site using the Satellite Navigation on their computer. All of the assessed information is inputted digitally, automatically sent back for central
storage and sent to the Assessors' computers ready to process that evening. We aim to confirm a time of an inspection within 4 hours of any request and have a full report sent to the client within 24 hours of a site visit."
